Last weekend was a special one. We spent four days at Mary Jane Berlin 2026, and we got to meet so many of you in person. Four days of conversations, screenings, giveaways, and Mike Tyson just… showing up.
Thursday was just for the industry, a B2B day, and we used it to celebrate the world premiere of The Pl*nt, a fine documentary about cannabis made by Ferran Calbet and HighVideo Films, in collaboration with RQS. The Class Stage Room had a photocall, popcorn, sweets, drinks, and that quiet buzz you feel when something matters.

The film runs 51 minutes. What makes it different is that it is full of real voices: scientists, doctors, lawyers, growers, people from across the culture and the industry. One interview stands out, though. Professor Raphael Mechoulam, the man widely seen as the father of modern cannabis research, sat down for what is believed to be his last recorded interview. So much of what we understand about this plant traces back to him, and that footage gives the film a weight few cannabis projects will ever carry.
You also hear from Jorge Cervantes, Boy Ramsahai, attorney Meital Manzuri, hemp entrepreneur Vincent Lartizien, influencer Max Buechse, and the Brushett family.
Before the screening, Boy Ramsahai said something that stuck with us:
“I felt that something was being lost. The story of why this plant matters. The stories of the people behind the change. We wanted to create something honest, completely and respectful. A film for everyone—especially those who have never been part of this plant history.”
We had some wonderful people in the room too: Jerry (@viewithchu), Tomás Cott (@tc_tc_), Sofia (@missloudqueen), Max Buechse (@maxbuechse), and Marty Grimes (@marty_grimes).
When the film ended, everyone headed up to Enjoy Rooftop Berlin. The formal feeling just dissolved, and the conversations that had started during the screening carried on late over the city skyline.

On Friday we opened the doors to everyone, and the booth filled up straight away. Seed draws, giveaways, people coming through all day, a completely different energy from Thursday’s industry calm.
Then Mike Tyson walked in. He sat down with Max Majot, our master grower, for a conversation about what’s changed since they last spoke, how cannabis culture is shifting in Europe, and what makes a strain really stand out for growers.
But the real moment came when Max pulled out a small jar. Inside was NYC Sour D—a plant they had planted together on this stage last year. Mike had taken it home and grown it himself. Now it was back, ready to be tasted together. The story wasn’t just about the flower. It was about the journey: seed to plant to person, patience and care turning into something memorable.
“Growing this plant reminded me of something,” Max said. “Success is never just the result. It’s what you do every day before the result arrives.”
It was a perfect moment to end on. Seeing him on the floor turned an ordinary fair afternoon into something people will remember.

That evening we screened The Pl*nt again, this time for everyone. Growers, festival-goers, a full room watching it for the first time.
Saturday kept the energy going. Games, giveaways, screenings, people moving through the booth all day. In the evening we held the second and final public screening of the film, closing out its run at the fair on a full room.
Sunday was the slow one. The fair was still there, but everything eased off. People hung around the booth, talked genetics, asked questions, and took their time. No rush, just growers being growers.

While all of this was happening at the fair, we were out putting up posters across Berlin. “Power to the Grower. Grow Your Own, Know Your Own”.
That is really what this is about for us: people growing at home, and knowing exactly what they are growing. We wanted that message out in the city, not just inside a booth. On the way to work, on the street, where people actually are.

The Pl*nt is on Amazon Prime Video in Spain now, with the international rollout already underway. The trailer gives you a first look at the voices in it, including that Mechoulam interview. If you watch it and it lands with you, pass it on. That is how a film like this travels.
Mary Jane Berlin 2026 was never just a booth for us. It was a premiere that genuinely mattered, real conversations with growers, a guest who needs no introduction, and a message that spread well beyond the venue.
